Established since 1988, Network Computer Systems NCS has been a leader in the provision of information technology solutions in West Africa and the pioneer of Internet in the sub-region. NCS provides the capabilities to enable companies and organizations operate more efficiently and profitably in an increasingly competitive environment. We provide leading edge technologies and support to deliver enhanced service solutions through fully integrated information systems.

The company has a staff of about 80 including 28 professional engineers, 23 administrative managers and 23 other officers. NCS is composed of dynamic, young, highly trained and disciplined staff who are eager to assist. NCS invests in training its human resources to enable us keep up with changes in technology and maintains a core team of international quality researchers who focus on networks and protocol. We participate in conferences, publish papers and are members of the Internet Society, Association of Computing Machinery and the Institute of Electrical Engineers.

NCS operates a turnover of 8.5 billion in 2000 and is growing at 89% per annum. The head office premise of NCS is a technology delight, which is exemplary showing seamless integration of high technology in our business practices. There are two other offices in Ghana, all of which use the Internet.
DR. NII NARKU QUAYNOR (Chairman)
Has a doctorate in computer science. He has lectured in Ghana, China, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Colombia, Italy and USA. He held the position of senior engineering manager with Digital Equipment Corporation, and was also a UNDP Consultant.

NCS is known for adapting proven technologies to our environment. NCS is a network company focused on delivering highly integrated networked applications through our R&D center. Core specialization include server configuration and management, and backbone routing.

NCS differentiates itself by providing the latest and most advanced networking technologies, together with the knowledge and service to support the solutions. By operating the largest interconnection with the Internet we are able to leverage on this telco-grade infrastructure to support different applications.

NCS does not only have the foresight to deploy WIFI hot spots in Capital City but also taking initiative to increase broadband services in other cities. Plans are also far advanced to set up design centre for system-on-chip solutions. There would soon be an introduction of card-based prepaid Internet access solutions in West Africa.
